AI Scribe for Doctors in India: How Fullcurebank Works

Fullcurebank's Conversation OPD listens to the consultation and drafts the note in English. The doctor reviews and ticks what goes in. See how it works.

By Dr Sudhanshu Bankata ·

Fullcurebank by Lexmedix is OPD and hospital software for doctors in India, and its Conversation OPD works as an AI scribe for doctors: you talk with the patient as usual, and it builds the consultation note for you. The AI drafts and organises. The doctor still reviews and decides what goes into the record.

What an AI scribe does in the OPD

In a busy OPD, the note is often written after the patient has left, or not written fully at all. An AI scribe listens to the consultation and turns it into a structured note, so you can look at the patient instead of the keyboard.

In Fullcurebank, Conversation OPD listens and then builds the note: complaint, history, examination, medicines and plan. It works in Full, Quick and SOAP OPD, on a phone, a tablet or a desktop.

English, Hindi or Hinglish

Most Indian consultations switch between languages. With Conversation OPD you can speak in English, Hindi or Hinglish. The note is written in English, and the words as spoken stay available while you work.

The doctor stays in charge of the note

Conversation OPD never fills the note on its own. You get a review sheet and tick what to apply, and medicines are ticked one by one.

A few details matter in daily use:

  • If you change something later in the conversation, such as "make it 500", Conversation OPD keeps your later version.
  • You can dictate or type extra medicines on the review sheet. Dose, frequency, duration and route are pre-filled from usual dosing and left for you to confirm.
  • It points out what the conversation did not cover, so a missing section is easy to spot before you finish.
  • It can add counselling for you to tick, such as warning signs and when to come back.

Pause, check and record more

Consultations don't run in one straight line. You can pause a recording to see what has been heard so far, or see the note so far, then record more or add typed text. You can repeat this as many times as you need. Each recording can run up to 20 minutes, and silence does not stop it.

What happens to the conversation

The raw conversation text is not kept after the consultation is finalised. The finalised record is the note.

AI scribe or voice dictation?

The two approaches suit different moments.

Listening to the conversation

An AI scribe listens to the whole consultation and drafts the note from it. This helps when you want to keep talking to the patient and review the note at the end.

Dictating the encounter yourself

With dictation, you speak or type the encounter in your own words after the examination. Fullcurebank's Quick OPD does this: dictate or type the encounter and get a structured consultation in minutes. Typing instead of recording is always available in Conversation OPD too.

Many doctors will use both, depending on the patient and the clinic.

After the note

Once the note is ready, the rest of the consultation follows in the same place. The live note on the right turns what you enter into a clean clinical record. Fullcurebank suggests differentials, investigations and treatment for you to accept, change or add to, and red-flag alerts come from a rules engine. Prescriptions carry drug, dose, frequency and duration, and you can print, save a PDF or share. For a returning patient, "Copy Last Rx" brings back the last prescription.
